The report discusses some common sustainability features in UK commercial property and how they relate to property value. The aim of the paper is to suggest more common ways of identifying and reporting common sustainability features to promote alignment across AREF members and the wider UK Commercial Property Market.
The Chair of the Sustainability and Value Working Group, Sam Carson, will provide an overview of the report and some of the insightful discussions that were had in its development. These will include topics such as common approaches to the capex associated with ESG risks, the role of EPCs, regulations and green certifications.
This will be followed by a panel discussion to provide some interpretations of the report from members of the Working Group and AREF's ESG and Impact Investing committee.
