Impact of Climate Change Initiative

AREF in conjunction with MSCI are undertaking a data survey to understand the availability and completeness of climate data across contributing funds to the MSCI/AREF UK Quarterly Property Fund Index ('index') and Property Fund Vision ('PFV'). 

So far, over 20 portfolios have contributed information from which we are able to draw initial conclusions but in order to really understand the overall footprint, we would like all contributors to the index and PFV to participate. 

The data points have been shaped by the AREF ESG & Impact Investing Committee in conjunction with MSCI and include some of the following metrics:

EPC’s, Emissions Data, Net Zero Target, Green Leases and SFDR alignment 

The results of the data availability survey will be anonymised and shared with contributors to the project along with insights in to the overall index.
