Last night, AREF FutureGen members had the exclusive opportunity to tour 40 Leadenhall, one of London’s most exciting new office developments. At 900,000 sq. ft., it was the largest office scheme completed last year and is already 95% let—a testament to the growing demand for sustainable, amenity-rich workplaces.
Designed by Make Architects and brought forward by M&G Real Estate, the building can accommodate up to 10,000 workers and is packed with standout features, including 17 outdoor terraces, a contemporary library, wellness studios, saunas, bars, restaurants, and even a cinema with its own popcorn machine!
It was fascinating to hear about its ESG ambitions, targeting NABERS 5*, BREEAM Excellent, WELL Platinum, and Platinum Wired & Smart Building certifications.
A huge thank you to Michael Wood and Nioki Doggett of M&G Real Estate for hosting and leading the tour and to Jack Quinlan of Blackrock and member of our FutureGen committee for organising this insightful visit.
We wrapped up the evening with networking drinks at Moniker Bar.
Thanks to all who attended!
